ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs services in a manner commensurate with students’ age, maturity, and academic abilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Highly Qualified Ancillary service provider with a Behavioral Background: LISW Social Worker, School Psychologist, or Related Field.
  • MA or MS or above in related field. OR:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, mental health, or related field and plus 4 years of experience in Human Services related to education.
  • Strong knowledge of Behavior Managements Skills
  • Strong knowledge of NVCPI, PBIS, FBA & BIP processes.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Consult and evaluate needs and coordinate to conduct demonstrations of behavioral techniques.

  • Establish and/or maintain contact with parents, teachers, ancillary staff members regarding the status of initial evaluations, reevaluations, eligibility determination meetings, etc.
  • Administer psychoeducational assessments in accordance with guidance from test publishers
  • Continuous or ongoing review of progress toward completion of evaluations to ensure timelines are met (transition timelines, 60-day timelines, reevaluation timelines)
  • Provide recommendations to address students’ intellectual, cognitive processing, adaptive, functional, social emotional, and academic needs
  • Prepare for and attend eligibility determination team meetings
  • Process relevant paperwork/documentation associated with evaluations to assist districts in maintaining complete record of finished product (submitting protocols, report, eligibility determination documents to appropriate site/location)

A highly successful Educational Diagnostician candidate should have:

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, technical writing, and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of Federal and State laws governing Special Education and adherence to those laws.
