STAFF LINE RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible at CES to Executive Director and Director of Ancillary Services.
Responsible when in the District to Superintendent or their designee.
Responsible for no one.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy.
Two years experience in school setting.
Desired qualifications include advance degree in related field.
Licensure by Public Education Department.
Licensure by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Board.
Able to obtain Medicaid Provider Number and NPI.
Commensurate with ability, experience, education, and similar positions in member school districts.
Certified school year position with benefits identified in Policy Manual.
DUTIES, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluation, treatment, and consultation of a physical or mental condition individual or in groups by the use of:
Administering, evaluating, and modifying treatment within the scope of practice of physical therapy.
Providing consultation, education, and other advisory services within the scope of practice of physical therapy.
Providing passive, active, resistive, or massage exercise/therapy.
Preventing increased disability.
Promoting the development of compensatory motor skills.
Assisting in identification, adaptation, and adjustment of assistive technology devices.
